Narrator/ProducerJack KohlerA student of engineering at Stanford, Ko hler is an actor and filmmaker. He has played Tecumseh,
Crazy Horse, and Captain Jack in outdoor theatrical productions, and
Kohler played the lead role, a Yurok gillnetter, in Stephen Most's play
Watershed. He has also acted in numerous films and television programs.
Kohler edited a two-minute program, Karuk Creation Story drawing from
River of Renewal footage, that was broadcast on PBS stations in
November, 2002. He is associate producer of a television documentary
program on Indian gaming, Beyond the Dream. Kohler currently works for
the Auburn Rancheria training Indian youth in video production methods,
and each summer he works with American Indian youth in making short
features for the American Indian Film Festival.
Producer/WriterStephen MostMost is a playwright and documentary storyteller. Many of his plays and documentary films
have historical subjects. Among the documentaries that Most has written
or on which he worked as consulting writer are four Academy Award
nominees and two Emmy Award-winners. He also wrote the texts, audio
voices, and video scripts for the permanent exhibit of the Washington
State History Museum. His book River of Renewal, Myth and History in
the Klamath Basin was co-published by the Oregon Historical Society
Press and the University of Washington Press in September, 2006.

Steve Michelson
is the Executive Producer for Specialty Studios (www.specialtystudios.com) and the Video Project,
the nations oldest environmental educational distributor celebrating its 25th
year in 2009 (www.videoproject.com). He has functioned as
the Executive Producer on many award-winning films and DVDs involving environmental
issues and social justice including: River of Renewal (2009), Power
Paths (2009), Burning the Future (2008), Sound
of the Soul (2007), Crude Impact (2006), Oil
on Ice (2005) and Climb Against the Odds (2000).
He has served four
terms as a Governor with the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences
(NATAS) and is the recipient of the Gilbert Award from the San Francisco Bay
Area film community for his contributions to the industry. Steve is a graduate
of the University of Pennsylvania where he attended the Annenberg School of
Communications and the Wharton School of Business. In 2001 he opened the studio
at Lobitos Creek Ranch that specializes in providing production and completion
services for documentary producers.
DirectorCarlos BoladoCarlos Bolado is an internationally
respected director and editor. He directed and edited the feature film
Solo Dios Sabe, a Sundance Film Festival selection; he edited Like
Water For Chocolate; he co-directed and edited Promises, which won film
festival awards around the world and an Academy Award nomination; and
he wrote, directed and editedBajo California, a Sundance Film Festival
selection which won the Best Film Award at several international film
festivals and seven Ariels, the Mexican Oscar. Bolado received a
MacArthur/Rockefeller fellowship in 2001 and a Mexican National Artist
subsidy in 2003. His work for television includes directing "Lonely
Planet, Mexico City" for the Discovery Channel.
